What benefits can patients receive from counseling sessions?
The counseling sessions provide an important place for persons with epilepsy to discuss social and personal issues. Counselors can help to identify areas that are adversely affecting a person with epilepsy.
In general, counseling sessions help individuals to discuss, better understand and cope with troubling issues that somehow relate to or affect the treatment of epilepsy.
There are a variety of treatments aimed at helping you to understand the impact of your disorder. Each treatment provides different insights into your life with epilepsy. Each one shows a way to take mental control over your seizures and points out a path towards living a more balanced life.
