Transportation Fund
About the Fund
Through the generous support of the Marjorie Rockwell Fund for the Disabled (2024) and the Arnold Cogswell Health Care Endowed Fund (2025) of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, this fund was created to address special travel requests by consumers unable to drive due to their diagnosis of epilepsy. Consumers must live within the counties we serve and do not have transportation available (i.e., rely on Uber or other forms of transportation). This fund is intended to assist those unable to use public transportation due to their active seizures.
What The Fund Will Consider
Currently, the fund will consider requests for the following: travel to medical appointments, counseling services, support groups, Studio E, educational programs, events organized by the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York, grocery store, and social visits. You may contact our office if your travel needs do not fit within these areas to discuss.
