The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York (EFNENY) recently received a Community Impact Grant from the Marjorie Rockwell Fund for the Disabled of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. A grant for $13,000 has been awarded and will be applied to a newly created Transportation Fund to address special travel requests from consumers living within the counties EFNENY serves who are unable to drive due to their diagnosis of epilepsy.
The Transportation Fund will consider requests for travel to medical appointments, counseling services, support groups, Studio E, educational programs, events organized by EFNENY, grocery stores, and social visits.
